Our History & Legacy
Founded by Mike Freeburg, Freeburg Sales and Service initially specialized in diesel repair, offering service and parts to support the local logging and farming industries. Over the years, Mike built a reputation for delivering honest, reliable service at competitive prices. Mike and his family have deep roots in the Plummer community and are proud to have supported the area for generations.
Expanding to Trailer Sales
In 2010, Mike expanded the business to include trailer sales, recognizing the need for a local trailer dealer. Taking over the dealership from Dave Butcher of Tandem Trailer Sales in Worley, ID, Mike brought PJ Trailers to Plummer and made them available to a broader customer base. Since then, Freeburg Sales and Service has been providing a wide variety of high-quality trailers to meet the needs of local farmers, loggers, and anyone in need of a durable, dependable trailer.
In 2024, A New Chapter Begins
In 2024, after decades of dedication to the business and the community, Mike Freeburg made the decision to retire and pass the torch to a new owner. The business was sold to Joshua Detweiler, who is now the owner and operator of Freeburg Sales and Service. Josh is committed to continuing the legacy of excellent customer service and quality products that Mike established. As the owner and operator, Josh is personally involved in every aspect of the business and looks forward to serving you with the same dedication and care.
Expanded Services and Inventory
Since taking over, Josh has expanded Freeburg Sales and Service to include not only trailer sales and service, but also the servicing of ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and dirt bikes.
